This is my very first post and I registered for this topic. I think set over set s the hardest part of poker to recognize but if your opponent is a decent player (regular) only QQ would seem to fit his line.
KK could be possible ofcourse but that is to agressive in this multiwaypot I guess. I would 3bet I guess but calling isn't that weird an option right? |

btw, you can't c/r the turn after capping the flop. you could call the flop 3bet and c/r the turn. with two spades and so many opponents i prefer the flop cap.
upon further review, i would 3bet the river. sure QQ and KK are in his range preflop. that's still fewer combos than AA, AK and KQ which would also be in his range that would play like this. |

Wouldn't AA try to keep the pot small in this multiway pot where he finds obvious resistence? They wouldn't reraise all streets would they? AK wouldn't make a cbet in this multiwaypot right unless it's AKof spades maybe.
Just wondering, what was the outcome by the way allthough I know it doesn't influence what you should have done on 5th street. |

I had trouble putting a B & M player on KQ due to the flop 3B, but I made a note of it for later. |

According to Phil Gordon's Little Green Book set over set happens about 1/100, so bet it up.

If he was at all likely to have Q2 or K2 you could call..but he's probably holding a high card (AK,KQ,AQ)or trying too hard to bluff a busted draw.
Go to value town here. NEVER worry about set over set. It happens but you're protected from straights and flushes and it only happens often enough to feel bad, but not enough to kill your profit on taking a set to valuetown almost every time. The only hands that have you beat is KK,QQ,22 all possible but pretty unlikely. |

3/bet. You can fold to a 4-bet vs a few opponents, sounds like you can't with him.
