Pocket 99 when down to 11 big blinds
I do this so often that I'm wondering if it's a hole in my game: I'm down to 11 big blinds (2200) with 35 players left in a 180 man at pokestars. Guy makes one bet raise from first position and I raise him all in (2200) with pocket 99s. He calls with A-10 for half his stack and wins a race.
My first questions: 1) Is this the correct move when short stacked and still fairly far from the bubble? I think it is but I'm open to correction. 2) I think his call sucks and I wouldn't have made it for half of my stack. Am I correct in this? Thanks |

Re: Pocket 99 when down to 11 big blinds
you played the hand absolutely fine. you have some fe you could get a call from 77 or 88 and you often have a slight advantage. w 11 bb flips are ok you will lose alot but eh no biggie
