Probably been mentioned a few times but don't recall reading it... Blake is the worst singer ever in the Final 2, yes?

Kelly/Justin > Blake
Ruben/Clay > Blake
Fantasia/???? > Blake
Bo/Carrie > Blake
Taylor/Katherine > Blake

I forget who was with Fantasia, but yeah. I think you're right. I guess a case could be made against Taylor, but not really.

Fantasia was against Jenny D'Garmo or similar. She was a good young signer, much better than Blake.

OK thanks guys, I am a relative AI viewing / wagering noob, so couldn't proclaim confidently that this is true (though it is hard to imagine a worse singer than Blake getting so deep).

Let the notion that this is a singing competition be put to rest, and let us never speak of it again.

To me, this is exactly why Simon is disgusted with the past two seasons. It has migrated to a popularity contest.

(I actually think Dali is a good singer and might be better than Blake - Exhibit A oh man this is much worse than I remember...)

[/ QUOTE ]

I recall actually liking him that week because he did a Keane song, but oh man listening to it again I have to agree that is really rough.

Reportedly Simon hates the music biz because it's filled with posers with little talent and lots of attitude. So he must be in hell. Of course, it's a very rich Hell.

MFV was one the high points of the season for me. Although Jordin may have surpassed it with I Who Have Nothing.

I liked Jordin at the very beginning when she did the Tracy Chapman song, I remember thinking she could be a darkhorse. Then she was very inconsistent for a long time, and I thought she had no chance. But the last few weeks she has come on super strong. The thing that makes Jordin special IMO is that while her voice may not be a perfect as Melinda's, she has an ability to really connect with the emotion of a song, and I think this is sometimes more important.
