Re: PS $16 - very first hand hitting big - advises?
preflop: I am limping this for set value, huge bonus that there are two other guys already in the pot ahead of us that might hit a piece of it if we have caught our two outer. on flop: Ok, we bloated the pot, but its great because we caught our set (and its top set) ... also, not many draws apart from the J8 (doubtful) or JQ (possible) ... 390 in the pot, I follow through just as I do most of the time hwen I raise it pf - maybe in your case since this is so safe for you, 1/2 the pot? on turn: This gives a backdoor diamond draw, as played why only bet 80? That gives backdoor diamonds odds to call you down, make it at least 200/300 in this spot, its the second last time you'll get to extract $ with your monster River: Ok quads are never hard to play, hopefully you get paid |

Re: PS $16 - very first hand hitting big - advises?
I limp too pf. On the flop, since you're last to act, I definitely make a cont. bet, probably like 1/2 pot. If you're lucky, someone will overvalue their hand, or they'll think you're bluffing with nothing and try and push you off with a raise. If you were the first to act on a flop like that, I'd definitely check it down to induce a bluff. Generally you won't win that big of a pot if you check it through like that from last position IMO, and if they fold...well not much you can do there.
