Johnny,

Whats your SN when you play sngs?

Paster,

Basically what i thought, except i think he has KQd more than 78d. However i still think his range is heavily weighted to 66.

What buyin is this? With so many limpers it looks like a lower buyin so even with everybody all-in I'm not folding a set.

Whatever game i am mainly playing (cash/mtt/sng) i post a lot on that forum while i'm playing that game. So while i am playing sngs i am trying to post interesting hands since alot of the hands that get posted are boring simple ICM hands but people are too lazy to buy/use sngpt.

If you'd actually think about hands and ranges, you might find you'd do better at poker and be able to make folds like this rather than just be 'SET = ALLIN'. I have folded KK three times i think ever online (all in sngs) and everytime i would have ran into AA.

Just because you have a good, or a very good hand doesn't mean you can't fold it if you have reason to believe someone else has a better one, other than AA preflop you don't HAVE to felt any hand in a sng, however hard it may seem.

Fwiw this was a 16, but the reason its a fold is because the opponent is a solid winning player so it shouldn't really matter too much.

I've seen way too many solid players making spewage plays on the early levels that there's little chance I'm folding. If he limps behind with KQo is he really just going to fold on this flop?

I think to suggest his range is only 66 is pretty crazy, yes he is solid but just 66 come on. Is AQ of diamonds possible? You can't assume he only makes perfect plays with only the near nuts because NO one plays like that. You might even learn something about this player by calling. I have also seen a lot of players playing AK a lot slower preflop, thats not out of the question.

Also, dont assume that folding your KK 3 times was correct because he had AA, it very well may have been, but because they had aces that time isnt a good reason why.

Board: 5d 6d Kh
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 69.434% 69.43% 00.00% 10311 0.00 { 66, KdQd, KdJd }
Hand 1: 30.566% 30.57% 00.00% 4539 0.00 { 55 }

So with the dead money, and possibly an overcall from one of the donks its probably closer, but i don't think he has KQ/KJd that often - i think he just folds preflop vs one limper a fair amount of the time

It depends on the specific villain. One reason why I call is is hand range gets really screwed up because of the 3x pot and the call.
