Friday, May 4th, 2007:

I arrived in Vegas around 10pm. Weak ass flight, decided to get on the shuttle to the motel. Oh yes, as I forgot to mention, I didn't know where to stay and saw that a certain "Wild Wild West" was a casino, off the strip, within walking distance to Bellagio, so I picked there without researching. Huge mistake.

I arrived and checked in with the girlfriend. Upon entering the room I burst into laughter, the GF wasn't laughing. NO wall safe, only a bed, nightstand, TV and shower room. The door key was an old style plastic card, no swipe, just punch holes. Room 318.

So I guess the money belt was a good investment, as i was able to stuff 1500$ of my 2.3k into it, and decided that since it was an hour wait (god) for a taxi, that walking around 11pm to the Bellagio was a good idea.

First, however, I was super hungry so we walked across the street to the "In & Out Burger" which I've never been to. It was nothing to write home about. After pounding 2 double cheeseburgers we trekked to the Bellagio. Once inside I found the poker tables and got on the list for 5/10. After realizing I only bround 4 buyins, I opted for the 2/5.

I sat down and was instantly greeted with 4 fish. I bought in for 200$, the min, and proceeded to see not-to-stunning play. It was going to be like taking candy from a baby. After some cbets failing, i found myself around 140$, and picked up AsKs in MP. 2 limpers, I pop to 30$, some fish woman MIN raised to 60$, FOUR CALLERS, I push, fish lady called and some woman from the blinds.

I hold my breath as the flop falls, a beautiful 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] dear god. well, whatever, much dinero in the pot i'm probably ahead. BB checked, woman bet 50$, BB folded ??! FLIPS up JJ, christ. TURN RIVER both 8's, MHNG, BB had 88 in the hole.

At this point it is like midnight, the girl looked at me with a weird look on her face like "WTF U DO THAT FOR?!" I go, "Whatever baby, it's only 200$." I pull out another 2 hundos. She goes off to do whatever, an hour later she comes back.

She has tears in her eyes, and I'm like what, and she says that she lost 7$ playing video poker and is pissed/sad. She is tired. I go, christ, I came here to play YOU KNEW THIS. She gets up w/out saying anything and walks off.

Ten minutes later I get up, cash out, can't find her. Her phone is off. [censored]. I walked around the casino for 30 minutes looking for her, finally she calls me and tells me she was in the butterfly conservatory.

We sex later. Please note it will be the only time this trip due to non-good looking motel.



Saturday, May 5th, 2007.

We wake up around 2pm hung over/jet lagged. Decided to walk around the strip. Went to some casinos/hotels, everything looked the same. I don't play slots/BJ/craps, only poker. I was referred by TAcerp to play the 1/3 no cap at the Wynn, so around 9 pm I kissed the g/f goodbye and headed over there.

I pick up QJo in the CO, folded to me, i make it 12$, SB calls.

Betting goes: check, check, check, I pot, fold, fold, call, RAISE, fold, I PUSH, fold, call. (he had 200$ behind)

TURN RIVER 2 spades, he had 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] FTW. [censored] [censored] [censored].

Some aggressive players leave, I move seats for position, begin to finally get my sklansky bux, build up to 700$, call it a night at 4am.



Sunday, May 6th, 2007:

Walked around some more, didn't play poker cuz my legs hurt @ 10pm so bad i just wanted to sleep. I think we walked to the Rio that day, took an hour, can't remember.

Does anyone else think it's [censored] up that a taxi won't pick u up on the street, only at a casino???



Monday, May 7th, 2007:

Played some more poker at the Wynn, won, big surprise, got some sushi across the street at "Ra" or what the [censored] ever. These restaurants all suck, trendy b.s. for a 16$ plate of raviolis. Met up with a friend of mine that was down there for a convention.



Tuesday, May 8th, 2007:


Did not play poker this last day. Flight leaves at 11:59 pm so I decided to rent a car, a red Chevy Cobalt (blech). Checked out at noon, drove to Red Rock Canyon, forgot sunscreen and to find pot, paid 5$ to get into a park to see rocks.

Drove to another section just to be told I'd have to pay another 5$ to get in, I laughed, drove away. Saw a roadrunner, some animal critter, a wild mule and a lizard.

The highlight of this trip was going to a Jack in the Box. I've never been to this restaurant before but I've got to tell you, they blow McD's and BK OUT OF THE [censored] WATER. The mascot is [censored] awesome, and the food is actually good to boot. I love that guy, wearing that mask, doing normal people things. I dunno why.

Anyway, that's it. Las Vegas is boring. I'm not kidding. Next time I go, if I do, it'll be by myself for no more than two days.

I'm leaving some stuff out too cuz i got bored of writing this.
