play 4 of a kind preflop in omaha?
this might sound stupid, but the reasoning behind it is obviously to pick up pots if u have the blockers to a straight.
complete spew? only good in (non)multiway pots? has anyone ever done it? |

I think it's complete spew. Having a blocker is nice, but isn't Omaha a game where you want multiple things working in your favor?

If you have AAAA you obviously have the best possible starting hand in unlimited omaholdem. You should put your opponents to a decision for all his chips.

Re: play 4 of a kind preflop in omaha?
I have moved all-in preflop with AAAA in no-limit Omaha, because I was expecting exactly one caller and got exactly one caller for a sizable amount of chips. The caller had Q9s44 and I was an absolutely healthy favorite. I have also moved in several times with AAAx. If the X is good (suited straight card) I'd almost rather have three aces to eliminate the chance that someone else has two aces.
Loose callers and crazy rules can make anything possible. |
