100nl check raising turn with tpwk
This is an interesting hand (I think so anyway). I so rarely play it like this that I wanted some comments. soz about the raw HH can't find a converter for titan. Villian is 30/10 over 65 hands and at least competant. My image is very aggressive, perhaps a bit on the loose side.
GAME #541738086: Texas Hold'em NL $0.50/$1.00 2007-05-02 14:35:37 Table Carvarvon Seat 1: lgdae ($100.00 in chips) Seat 5: MichaelLundin ($100.65 in chips) Seat 6: arcadiaboy ($130.40 in chips) DEALER Seat 8: ismo16 ($148.79 in chips) Seat 10: Okhotsk ($121.40 in chips) ismo16: Post SB $0.50 Okhotsk: Post BB $1.00 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to Okhotsk [HJ C7] lgdae: Fold MichaelLundin: Call $1.00 arcadiaboy: Fold ismo16: Fold Okhotsk: Check *** FLOP *** [C5 SJ S9] Okhotsk: Bet $2.00 MichaelLundin: Raise $6.00 Okhotsk: Call $4.00 *** TURN *** [C2] Okhotsk: Check MichaelLundin: Bet $6.00 Okhotsk: Raise $20.00 MichaelLundin: Call $14.00 *** RIVER *** [SA] Okhotsk: Check MichaelLundin: Bet $54.00 Okhotsk: Fold *** SUMMARY *** Total pot $105.80 Rake $2.70 MichaelLundin: wins $105.80 I posted it all because I wanted discussion about the entire hand. On the flop I felt villians range included so many strong draws that I'm not much of a favorite, if at all. The turn bricked, greatly increasing my equity against draws. I went for the check raise because I thought I could fold out many made hands that were beating me, but I would get a call from strong draws. With so much left behind villian had to think he had plenty of implied odds to go for his draw. I also thought any very strong made hands would push over the top of me because the board is so draw heavy. I could then easily fold knowing I was beat, and happily know on the river if i'm ahead or not. The river screwed me. I felt his PSB pretty much confirmed my feeling that much of his range was draws. Would he ever put so much in without a flush. I'm sure someone is going to tell me this is terrible, but whatever. I think it's not that bad, just "different" . Re: 100nl check raising turn with tpwk
This hand is nearly unreadable. From what i can see, i hate turn. You bloat the pot oop with an extremely marginal hand. I could even find a fold on the flop as you are either way behind or only slightly ahead.
And if by any means you come to the conclusion, villain /has/ to be drawing on the turn, make it real raise and don't give him odds to call. But c/c or b/f are far superior than c/r. |

fold flop. Reverse implied odds. Also the turn check raise turns your hand into a bluff
