Against some players, maybe (obviously good against this one). But I think most players will bet the turn on any blank after you check the flop and then you have to fold.

Not necessarily. Putting in extra bets on the flop is easy and everyone does it. The willingness to put in extra bets on the big streets is where spewage and outplaying someone merge.
