Please help me choose a monitor
I am planning on purchasing a monitor around $300. When trying to purchases a monitor for multitabling should I be looking at resolution more than size? I have found a 20 inch with 1600 by 1200 resolution and also a 24 inch with 1600 by 1080 resolution. What should I get?

Re: Please help me choose a monitor
I thought I could find a 24" for $300, unfortunately I couldn't. My two options are
1. A 22" wide screen with 1680 by 1050 resolution 2. 20.1" full screen with 1600 by 1200 resolution Keep in mind that when I multitable sometimes I get up to 16 tables going at once. |

Re: Please help me choose a monitor
wouldn't the size affect the number of tables that I can play more than the resolution? Having two extra inches seems like enough to compensate for the lower resolution.

Re: Please help me choose a monitor
The size of the monitor has very little to do with how much room you have on your desktop. Imagine your desktop being made up of balls, which change color to produce a picture. The bigger the ball the bigger the monitor size needed to show the same number of balls. The 22" only shows 1680X1080 or 1.7 million balls. The 20" shows 1600x1200 or 1.9 million balls, more balls in a smaller phsyical space. When shopping for a monitor you always want to look at the screen resolution, not the physical size of the monitor.

Re: Please help me choose a monitor
Hey,
I am looking for a good monitor to multi-table. I want to be able to tile atleast 6 tables or more with no overlap. i almost have enough Fpps for the 204b that stars offers. however, I have been hearing some bad things about it and stars has sent me the wrong ipod and clothing before so I was thinking of just getting the gift cards from future shop. im wondering if they have any good monitors for multi-tabling the only one i saw was $750 which is to much im looking to spend up to $500 on a good one. thanks |
