Re: Grip: Overlap or Interlocking
I used to interlock but I started to screw up my pinky finger so I switched to overlap.

Re: Grip: Overlap or Interlocking
I interlock for full shots and for putting and chipping I use overlap. I think it gives me more feel.

Re: Grip: Overlap or Interlocking
Players with longer fingers and strong hands should overlap
Players with shorter fingers and medium hand strength should interlock Players with poor hand/forearm strength should use a 10 finger baseball grip until they train their golf muscles |

Re: Grip: Overlap or Interlocking
I've always used interlocking. Never tried overlap.
I'm going to try overlap at the range today after LimitGod's comment about strong hands. I've basically got two vice grips at the ends of my arms and my instructor keeps telling me I could drive 300 yards if I would just stop swinging so hard. If I overlap, maybe I'll be forced to not swing so hard or else the club will go flying. If not, I can't imagine anything hurting at this point... my best 18 has been 115. =( |

Re: Grip: Overlap or Interlocking
Interlock, impossible for me to do anything else. I've tried, can't even make contact hardly. But it really doesn't matter. Like said before, most pros overlap but Jack and Tiger interlock.
