Also, "left such a great impression as Napoleon" ... am I the only one who hated that movie?

[/ QUOTE ]

Why yes, I believe you are.

dennis haysbert (or whatever his name is) will always be president palmer.

[/ QUOTE ]

I beg to differ.

"Jake...Cerrano want to bat."

Oh, by the way, that's Allstate's stand.

Forrest Whitaker will always be Idi Amin to me.

[/ QUOTE ]

I tend to picture him as Jefferson.

"Don't [censored] with it."

In a related story, Sean Penn will always be Jeff Spicoli to me. I haven't really watched many of his other movies. Whenever he is shooting his mouth off about politics and making himself look like an ass, I just think, "Hey, I know that dude!"

I strongly disagree with you here. Pacino is too damn good to be remembered for any one character. You could say:
Pacino is forever Tony Montana
Pacino is forever Lt. Col. Frank Slade
Pacino is forever Big Boy Caprice
Pacino is forever Vincent Hanna
Pacino is forever Carlito Brigante
Pacino is forever John Milton.....I could go on

You get my drift?

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't get your drift, because Tony Montana is basically the only one of this group I have heard of besides Big Boy Caprice. Assuming you're talking about Dick Tracy (Warren Beatty) from when I was 9, I didn't even know that was Pacino until about five years ago.

I would say that I most often associate him with Scarface. Godfather is a close second. Maybe I should watch Carlito's Way or some of these others, because I have no idea what you're talking about.

I agree, Scottie. The fact that he was not subject to the same fate as William Shatner is most impressive.

[/ QUOTE ]

He'll be remembered as both, as Ian McKellan will be Magneto and Gandalf.

I think it would break Sir Ian McKellan's heart to hear that...
