How to lose inches fast (method + question)
A very senior enlisted person in my squadron told me the other day that, to meet quotas and get fat kids through the door and on to boot camp, many Navy Recruiters have to get fatties to lose inches around the gut fast. This person told me that in a conversation that she had with a very senior recruiter, she was told that the best way to do it is Preparation H. The preferred method is to rub down your entire midsection before you go to bed liberally with the H, then plastic wrap it on. When you wake up they claim it can take off several inches.
I have personally lost around 2 inches (and I think 6 or 7 pounds) sweat boxing for 45 minutes after not eating anything the day before, but that was mainly for experimental purposes. I'm curious if anybody has any experience with the Prep or has ever successfully employed any other methods. Has anybody had a seaweed wrap? -Jihad |

Re: How to lose inches fast (method + question)
I think the greater question is.... why?
Most people on this forum would be interested in real results as opposed to artificial and temporary prep h solutions (if it even works). I have no experience with such things. I do have, what I assume everyone has, experience where I have been sick and not eaten for days, been in the hospital, etc and that has impacted my body. But I would not call any of those options healthy weight management |

sound just about like going to a sauna...You will lose weight immediately, but will of course gain it all back when u drink some water. All you are sweating off is the water weight.

Re: How to lose inches fast (method + question)
Does PH heat the area up? (I've never used it) Studies such as the one below have suggessted how heating an area up leads to increased fat loss. Although I'm sure this type of suggesstion would not be long term (water loss i.e.). Amazing how much "tighter" you can look if you do a bodybuilder style approach to dropping water for a week.

[ QUOTE ] A few hours before contest I will apply Preparation H gel to my midsection or anywhere else that I feel may be retaining water. Preparation H has an ingredient in it which removes water from under the skin and thus gives the skin a tighter look and feel (this effect only lasts for a few hours) [/ QUOTE ] Layne Norton One Week Out From Competition Tips |
