Absolutely correct, MyTurn2Raise... there are indeed occasional nuggets to be found in LGB; it is for this reason and its sheer fun readability that I would recommend it... it makes a most excellent accompaniment to a pina colada or suchlike when spending some quality relaxing time on the beach...

I would, nevertheless, personally place much more value upon NLHTAP, since the requisite thinking is much better developed and much more detailed in this excellent work...

I would assert that it need not be a choice... get LGB for a fun and enjoyable read, and get NLHTAP to really up your understanding of the game... everytime I read NLHTAP, my understanding of hold'em grows considerably...

NLHE-TAP and it's not even close. The Little Green Book is a beginner's guide, but there are some nuggets of wisdom that can come in handy. If you're willing to put the time and effort into thinking through the concepts in NLHE, it's by far the better buy.

NLHTAP taught me how to play NLHE. I've read it 5 times at least.

Since there is not much support for MT2R, I must state, that I share his views.
