Heads up: deepest stack at which push/fold from button is +ev
Hi,
Suppose my opponent knows my strategy and plays optimal against it. My stratey is to only play the button and only push or fold hands (heads up, no limit hold'em). What is the deepest stack at which the optimal button strategy (with the given constraint of only pushing and folding) is +ev? And how much is this ev per hand for, say, a 10bb stack (I suppose this is +ev for a 10bb stack, not sure though). [I posted this in Poker Theory but got no response there.] |

This cant be +ev.If you only play the button you lose 1BB per orbit. He can just fold his BB than to be breakeven and call with AA only to make a safe profit.

Of course you don't pay the big blind. Suppose you could only play the small blind and quit after that. What is the maximum expectation you could get and at what stack is that max ev?

Buy MOP. The chart is published there.

I think that chart tells you what hands you have to push if you only push or fold, but not if that strategy is +ev (only playing the button). (I would think that for large stacks the big blind has an advantage if you only push or fold.)
