hand of the year 2006
I dealt this one
Yes the hand of the year, and also the bad beat of the year goes not to NL, but to 3-6 limit hold'em. It wasn't for the most money, nor was it the most improbable suckout draw, but it was certainly for the biggest pile of chips. TEN count them TEN players CAPPED PREFLOP at 5 bets. Flop J T x two spades and one heart. Went to three bets I think, 8 stayed in. The turn is a small heart that does not pair the board. And this where it gets interesting... Action Jackson, Raisey McRaise and Cappy McCap have been ramming and jamming for hours, but Calley McCall an 'nem are in there too. Fast and furious the chips were a flyin', raise reraise and finally capped EIGHT ways on the turn (five bets). Everyone had chips so side pots were not even an issue. The capper (Cappy of course) held two cards that were slightly less valuable than he supposed. The river shows the Kc, final board JsTsXhYhKc. Action on the river went three bets each, with Cappy betting and three-betting. SEVEN stay in for all bets. Two players flopped sets, JJ and TT. Two other players held flush draws and wound up with a pair or two pair. (One spades, the other backdoor hearts). Two more players held Q9 and rivered a straight. But Cappy McCap capped it on the turn with big chick, AQ. His two outer gutshot on the river was good, as his straight was the nuts. Friggin' HUGE pile of chips. Al |

All white chips? That would be sick. Somebody should have taken a picture.
