Apple poker in USA
I have an Apple computer and live in USA. Only site I can play (I think) is full tilt. Lowest limit here is .25/.5....a little richer than I'd like right now!
Also, I find the games quite tight here for low limits; tighter than I was led to believe in Ed Millers Small Stakes Hold'em (...or did I missunderstand the book). Finally, I don't think I can user poker tracker with an apple. Can anyone suggest an alternative site or other poker tools that are apple compatible. Many thanks |

Re: Apple poker in USA
I suppose building a windows based supercomputer isn't an option then?

Try this forum:
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/po...Board=networks Some sites have no-download clients that use Java or Flash. You should be able to use that. It's not exactly comfortable though. |

Re: Apple poker in USA
If you have an Intel Mac and not an antiquated Apple you may be able to use boot camp and dual boot into Windows for the cost of a Win XP install disc. Or you might be able to run Parallels for 80 bucks plus the cost of the Win XP disc. Or you could get a cheap dell for a couple hundy and have a separate machine for poker.

Re: Apple poker in USA
Thanks for the advice. Yes it's an intel base apple so I guess the best option is to dual boot. Will check out the no-download sites too.

Re: Apple poker in USA
The last e-mail I got from Absolute said that they're Mac-compatible. I can't vouch for how good it runs, though.

Re: Apple poker in USA
You have an Intel Mac, so get a copy of XP, install Boot Camp and poker yourself crazy.
PokerStars has a Mac client in alpha (that means out soon). Also, look here for more info: http://pokeronamac.com/ |
