PLO8B $0.50/$1.00 - Did I play the flop too weakly?

Tight table, virtually no pre-flop raising. I have no reads on players styles. I have been getting my flopped nuts outdrawn a fair bit recently, so am playing slightly cautious. After the villain checks the turn I know I'm ahead, but should I have re-raised on the flop - I was most afraid of him having a big piece of the flop + a flush draw. |

Re: PLO8B $0.50/$1.00 - Did I play the flop too weakly?
Yeah, put in a third raise on the flop b/c youve got a draw to the higher straight. In this case you will be making him pay for a flush draw or a full house draw and if he has T8 he might get it all in with you and you can improver w/ a bunch of cards to a better srtaight and scoop. If he has T8 of spades then be prepared to get it in behind.

hinktoo weakly?
I think your freeroll to a higher straight is decent enough to put in another raise on the flop. There are hands that could out-freeroll you (even a few that are equity favorites despite not having the nuts on the flop) but not many.
I don't like the river bet. I think you pay off a middle flush here much more often than you get paid by a set (or you find that opponent has a better low and you split). |
