[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] i may be wrong, but from what i've read, you could probably add 10-15 pounds of muscle in 6 months if you ate meat. you're looking at more like 2 years or more while vegetarian, and you probably still won't do it. your girlfriend is an idiot if she would leave you for changing your diet. [/ QUOTE ] Why would that make her an idiot? I would be pretty concerned if she made a sudden drastic change in her lifestyle too. [/ QUOTE ] Eating is considered a lifestyle? Smoking crack is a lifestyle, eating isn't. [/ QUOTE ] Whoops, should say "lifestyle choice." Guys, one of the things that we initially had in common when we met is that we didn't eat meat. She wouldn't dump me specifically because I started to eat meat, but because it would be a very drastic change for no reason. I also didn't say she would insta-dump. It would definitely be something we would have to talk about though. |

Well, I can understand that if you did this just for no good reason she might thing something else is going on. But if you explained how eating meat is going to benefit you so much in your weightlifting goals, I think if she still has a problem, she is a little batty.

If I had a very good reason, she would understand. I've talked about the fact that I could see myself eating fish again in the future, and it wasn't a big deal. |

If dairy is acceptable for your diet you can use whey protein shakes. I think GNC chocolate actually tastes good (pretty much like nestle quik).
Soda is bad, they don't call them empty calories for nothing, and you're trying to add muscle not fat. |

just eat a lot. You can get some natural peanut butter and eat a 2 tablespoons a couple times a day to build up some calories and has protein. But whatever you do, don't drink pop.

Also, it's delicious. |
