2/4 live 5 handed, what to raise?
Effective stacks ~900
Villain is a decent LAG. I am CO and everyone folds to me and I make it 15 with A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Dealer and SB fold and BB calls. Flop($32) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] BB bets 25 to me and I make it 75 total, BB calls. Turn($182) Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] BB again leads for $100, Should I raise again here? I ended up calling River($$382) J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] BB makes what looks like a blocking bet of 150, what do I raise here to extract the most value? |

Re: 2/4 live 5 handed, what to raise?
calling the turn is good, i'd think probably much better than raising again. i probably make the river about 400-425, but i dunno if that extracts the most value.

Re: 2/4 live 5 handed, what to raise?
So the pot is 400ish after the blocking bet? Does he possibly have a weaker flush or a made straight? J10? I say make it 400..I don't see him folding here.

Re: 2/4 live 5 handed, what to raise?
Your hand is pretty transparent. I don't think you get paid off too often with a PSB/R unless he has some weired suited connectors for a flush and even then its very unlikely that he has a decent flush.
A mini raise or push would be a decent line. He likely calls the mini with a fairly wide range, and may payoff a AI with the two pair, str8 or baby flush because it doesn't fit your line up to the river. A push looks kind of like a AK type hand or a bluff rep'ing the flush. |

Re: 2/4 live 5 handed, what to raise?
Raising the turn is bad because your hand has showdown value.
I shove the river the pot is like 700 and you have 600 behind. If you were bluffing you'd shove. |

Re: 2/4 live 5 handed, what to raise?
i probably shove here playing line, call time or some deceptive thing, think long and hard and push in weakly. this line really only works the first time (the time you bust them and emotionally cripple them), so use it to your advantage (god i love live)
