Re: 25NL AK TPTK played weak-tight??
His range is mainly Ax+fdraw, problem is that board on the turn AQ/AJ beat us which are typical patsy hands to AK when an ace hits.
On the river I go c/call small bet as a8+ beats us, though we tie with AK obv and let a fdraw +low pair bluff river. I think c/call turn and river is fine, I would normally raise the turn but on this board & with the river OOP to play I won't. Yes you miss some value[if as he does bets weaksauce]/give free cards but I dont't want to be bet that turn. [ QUOTE ] I would overbet the flop to weed out drawing hands, say 1.5 pot. [/ QUOTE ] You realise your telling me you have a made hand and are scared of draws and are offering great implied odds. Think about how I can use this great info to win the pot. If you're overbetting the flop pot often your laying good odds preflop too. Just pot it if you want to bet the max, it accomplishes the same things you want to achieve and plus is easier with a BTP button. |

Re: 25NL AK TPTK played weak-tight??
I cbet the flop a bit bigger.
I lead the turn against probably for 2/3 pot or so. Once the river misses all the draws I c/c a decent bet. This line is decent against overagressive donks, not sure if its so great against this specific villain though (seems to have atleast half a brain)... |

Re: 25NL AK TPTK played weak-tight??
My biggest concern is the river call. What do you beat?? You got nothing but a bluff catcher, and this doesn't look very much like a bluff to me.
IŽd fold this. Also bet a bit bigger on the flop, like 4. |
