Re: Additional push against Ouija.
Also, if anyone has a contact at NPR, it would behoove us to get this story in front of them.

Also, if anyone has a contact at NPR, it would behoove us to get this story in front of them. [/ QUOTE ] Two years ago I participated in a case study competition at George Washington. The case concerned NPR and there was an NPR rep on the panel. I'll see if I still have her contact information around here anywhere, though I may have lost it. Unfortunately this topic has already been presented on the NPR show Onpoint Discussion: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showfl...rue#Post7597414 Archived link to show: http://www.onpointradio.org/shows/20...009_a_main.asp and the show was really biased against online gambling. |

I thought I was going to see something about the outlawing of Ouija boards. [/ QUOTE ] That's how industry types are pronouncing it, apparently. |

Re: Additional push against Ouija.
I've sent the story to every major news channel and each individual show, as well as all of the morning shows on the three networks.

Re: Additional push against Ouija.
I have forwarded the following to the Neal Boortz synicated radio show.
================================================== ========== Neal- I am a recreational on-line poker player who is a member of a community of poker players called 2+2. Recently, we had a friendly wager with noted professional poker player Barry Greenstein which resulted in us collectively donating over $30,000 to the charity Children, Inc. Following link is an article from yesterday's Richmond (VA) Times-Dispatch about this effort. http://www.timesdispatch.com/servlet/Sat...d=1149193496884 Also, you can read more about this at the 2+2 web forum to get a strong sense of the effort and commitment involved by literally hundreds of poker players from all over the world. Here is that link: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showfl...;gonew=1#UNREAD Neal, I know you initially denounced the Unlawful Internet Gaming Enforcement Act as an unnecessary government intrusion into the lives of responsible adults. Please continue to occasionally draw attention to this. The irony is thick and heavy that hundreds of poker players from around the world could voluntarily coalesce around a charitable drive on the internet in just a matter of a few days when it is these same players that have been made to be outlaws by our federal government. Thanks for saying what nobody else will say. |

Even though Democrats spoke loudly against it [/ QUOTE ] Propagating this lie only hurts our cause. 115 Democrat House members voted for this bill and only 76 voted again. |

[/ QUOTE ] Wasn't this bill a rider to port appropriations... And so it's further muddled by other issues at hand. I'm sure if you asked each member of Congress about their feelings on this you'd hear a ton of "What?" |
