NL50: Battle of the blinds - huge river overbet from SB
Just sat down at the table so I have no reads or particular image.

I do this sometimes if I think people will call a push almost as often as a value bet.

It's not worth it. Wait for a better spot to stack this donk.

Re: NL50: Battle of the blinds - huge river overbet from SB
I would bet way more on the turn here. And since I bet way more on the turn, I can't fold this. Missed flushes (A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]), occasionally just a really silly bluff (naked T for example), poorly played sets, even two pair...

I'd fold. I don't think you can discount the possibility of a flush just because of his overbet.

Re: NL50: Battle of the blinds - huge river overbet from SB
I bet less on the turn because I wanted him to call with most pairs.
In retrospect I should've folded. I re-raised preflop and that's a scary looking board so I don't he would bluff that hard without something. I called and he showed 10h7h for the flush - bad play by me. |

Seriously, you need to evaluate the hand based on his play and what you (should have) believed at the time, not what happened. All that's good for is making notes. |
