Strategy/ Odds re: Little PP on Button against nutjob LHE : Help !!!
I can't figure out what do do with this situation. On the button with a tiny pocket pair, (say no higher than 44) with maniac or maniacs in the blinds, capable of re-raising with nothing and continuing onward after the flop. Assume that BB nut calling range is huge. But The trouble is, in my mind at least, is that every board is scary and my nutjob friend raises pretty much randomly. I feel like I'm lost at sea, just pretending to understand the situation. It is a LEAK. Help.

Re: Strategy/ Odds re: Little PP on Button against nutjob LHE : Help
First, I'm assuming folds to the buttton. If that's not the case, you need to think about the previous action
If you think BB's going to frequently take random hands to the river without pairing if you raise into him, then 44 may be a through ticket to the river regardless of action. It's a showdown favorite against a random hand. If you think both SB and BB will get involved a large portion of the time, it doesn't have enough strength to really do much and maybe should be folded. Set farming might also be an atractive option if it's likely you'll get multiway action and multiple big bets in the pot. |

Also, if you figure out how to read Mr. BB (look for strong-means-weak tells on a maniac) then you can rob him all night long.
