tough river decision
75-150 four handed game on Absolute
This is my 1st hand although I watched a few rounds and SB has played lots of pots for raises and havent seen his cards. I havent played on Ab for abt a month so I have no hands with him.... Im in BB w/34 of spades folded to villian in SB he raises. I take a flop of 256 rainbow. Villian bets I call. Turn is Q of clubs putting club flush draw on board. Villian checks I bet, villian checkraises, I 3bet. River is 8 of hearts. Villian checks,I bet, villian checkraises......Whats my line? I call or raise |

Re: tough river decision
Thanks I was 90% sure that was line just running bad and questioning my game. I did just that and he turned over 79 for higher straight.

Re: tough river decision
Pretty obvious that was the result since you posted it but your decision was fine.

Re: tough river decision
So what you're saying is, you have the third nuts on a dry board with no flushes or straights in a blind battle, and you're not sure what to do on the river? Please...

Re: tough river decision
At absolute people love c/r turn w/ draw...Once I 3bet he just called then he c/r river...79 was first hand that popped in my head....I said I was 90% sure I made right line just a little doubt if a 3bet was necessary the way the hand played out. I think he caps set on turn, and doesn't checkraise 2pair in that spot is all. But like I said I still had small doubt as to 3bet but I wanted to reaffirm that small doubt..BUt your right I had a bad title "tough river decision"
