A world championship doesn't apply to college of course but I definitely cried for all 3 of the Gator titles but I'm more passionate about college sports & I go to the University.
I did not cry when the Braves won but I got emotional, same with the Lightning. It's just not the same for pro sports for me. |

I cried when the Colts won on Sunday.
I knew it was going to happen too. I suggested earlier in the day that a good prop bet would be who cried first, me or my friends 4 year old daughter. |

I teared up when the Sox won in 04. If the Islanders won again i prolly would, some of my first TV was the last of the Islanders Cups in the 80s. I also might if the Jets won, but not if the Nets won i dont think.

I voted no, but who knows what would happen if it actually happened. I don't think I would have cried last year is Seattle won the SB. I probably would have jumped around for 20 minutes and pounded 10 beers. Maybe I haven't suffered long enough.

I had tears in my eyes this past October
it was sort of the culmination of a really fantastic era There are 3 teams I really care about--Cardinals baseball, Illini bball, Illini fball Illini bball had been on a rampage since 2000. 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005 big10 champs finished one game off in 2003 & 2006 25+ wins in 6 straight seasons 2005 final four disappointing that Self couldn't take the 2001 to the final four Since 2000, Cardinals had been in the playoffs every year but one (Bartman year 2003 , which was still enjoyable for me) 2000, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006 NLCS Best regular season record in the NL in about 1/2 of those 2004 World Series 2006 World Champions I don't root for nobodies, but I definitely don't support the headliners. In an odd way, it was finally a culmination after coming close so often. Now, if the teams fade, I can rest happy. |
