TT against two passives OOP with 1 overcard in 4/180 Stars
CO seemed to be a loose/passive-Callingstation,
BU seemed to be tight-passive preflop, aggressive postflop. Final Pot: t4625 Flop: Against these passives, I thought a check might give me more information than a cbet and also keeps the pot small. But of course, it's a nice flop for a cbet and if being ahead, a freecard to an A,K or J is ugly. Your line? Turn & River: Thought they were valuebets with someone hanging around with a lower PP like 77-99. O.K., so? |

Re: TT against two passives OOP with 1 overcard in 4/180 Stars
I think c-betting is much better than checking for the reasons you outlined. If another over comes on the turn you have to seriously consider putting down your tens. I like leading the turn, b/c villain probably would have bet a Q when checked to on the flop, so you're likely to be good there I think. Is river bet for value or blocking? Kind of works out to be both in this case.

Re: TT against two passives OOP with 1 overcard in 4/180 Stars
I like your reasoning for checking, but as someone who almost always makes a c-bet, I would probably just lead out with another, mainly in fear of giving up a free over card which could ruin your hand. TT isn't big enough to slowplay or check. I'd take a c-bet on the flop because I'd much rather take it down right there.
