- it's slow
- it's very hard to update playlists without getting duplicate songs in file and if you move the file it refuses to locate it in it's new position
- apple downloads your playlist

It's just kind of like a survey so they can see what music is popular with people. Some people view it as an invasion of privacy but it's not a big deal.
