$1/$2 5CD - called raise in SB
The table has become a bit laggy because of the players in this hand. Should be some implied odds here?
Limit 5 Card Draw ($1/$2) (converter) Hero ($50.75), Seat 6 BB ($50), Seat 1 UTG ($44.75), Seat 2 MP ($39), Seat 3 CO ($32.75), Seat 4 Button ($42.25), Seat 5 Hero posts $0.50. BB posts $1. Hero is SB with [As 7d 3s 6s 8s] Round 1: (1.50 SB) UTG folds. MP raises. CO folds. Button calls. Hero calls. BB calls. Hero discards 7d. BB takes 3. MP takes 2. Button takes 1. Hero has [As 3s 6s 8s Ts] Round 2: (4.00 BB) Hero bets. BB folds. MP calls. Button raises. Hero calls. MP folds. Pot: (9.00 BB - $18) |

Re: $1/$2 5CD - called raise in SB
greenage,
I think this is a fine place to get involved. When you miss, thats it, you're done with the hand (-1BB). The pot will (probably) be 4BB on the flop, and you can surely win bets when you have a flush - it will be rare to lose with a A-high flush. While i'm normally big on betting out from EP, would checking be better here? Next to act is the predraw raiser, followed by the predraw caller... Sometimes it'll just get checked down, but thats rare, most times the raiser bets again, other guy calls, and its back to you. At least one of them calls your checkraise I'm surprised you got raised leading-out like you did. Usually they just call, they saw you draw 1, and spring to life. Were u beat here? You still beat a ton of hands (all trips, all straights), but it looks like button could have a boat. |

Thanks for the reply limpin.
[ QUOTE ] While i'm normally big on betting out from EP, would checking be better here? Next to act is the predraw raiser, followed by the predraw caller... [/ QUOTE ] You make a good point. However, if the predraw raiser bets and the button raises can I call especially since I don't close the action. [ QUOTE ] I'm surprised you got raised leading-out like you did. [/ QUOTE ] Button tended to overvalue his hands. He had a Queen high flush. |
