I'm heading out to Vegas for the first time this weekend. I'm currently playing 2/4 at Bodogs. I'm willing to play up as high as 4/8, and maybe even higher depending on how soft the games are. What casinos have the softest games and what limit do you think would be comparable in terms of quality of players to bodogs 2/4 limit?

I don't know anything about BoDog's.
The MGM and Venetian can have pretty soft 4-8 games at times. I believe Venetian offers 2-4 as well. Places like Luxor, ExCalibur and Monte Carlo might be worth a look, and offer 2-4 or 3-6. I'd skip the Orleans, but that's a personal prejudice. OTOH, Wynn has the toughest 4-8 games but the best looking cocktail waitresses! Pick your poison! Have fun! is the bodog 2/4 a hard 2/4 online? what are some normal vpips and avg pot sizes? 2/4 online where i've played (stars, ultimatebet, full tilt, and others) is equal to a 5/10 or 10/20 game at least, live. start at the 4/8, i'd say, and play as high as you're comfortable playing, moneywise, assuming the games are okay and you're running okay

I wish I could be more help, but I've never been to Vegas (but I frequent AC).
That said, the online games ATM seem pretty [censored], and if you're comfortable playing high (moneywise), play high. 10/20 at the Borg/Taj are complete jokes compared to 1/2 online. Disclaimer: I haven't played online recently, but I frequently (last week) check the game softness to see how things are. |

I took 6 months off from playing online poker. Then I went to Vegas and played 8/16 at Bellagio. That game was far better than the 3/6 game at Party. I am now playing 3/6 at Full Tilt and can't wait until I get back to Vegas in March so I can play 15/30 at Bellagio.
The moral - play as high as you can in Vegas. It is like printing money. |

i visit Vegas on weekdays rather than on weekends and i've found the only place that has a 4/8 during the week was Bellagio...just about all the other places around town give you 3/6, some sawdust places downtown offer 2/4 or 2-6 spread limit...weekends may be a different story, but during the week Ceasars, MGM, Bally's, Paris don't get much call for anything above 3/6...

Don't neglect to try the Mirage room, it is one of my favorite places on earth, it is like being in the womb. The 3/6 game is great and I hear the 6/12 is really good also. I'm getting ready to go back to vegas myself. I didn't like the games at the Wynn the last time I was there a year ago. Are they still the same?
