Default Buying an Xbox 360, couple of questions.

Well I wasnt going to buy an xbox 360 and was just going to buy a wii and PS3, but then I saw this product.

Product

Now I really want to buy one. Because I want to play Gears of War with a mouse.

So a couple of questions.

Should I wait a bit? I heard the xbox360 was being redesigned(it was a rumor so I am not sure, read it from a questionable source).

How should I keep the xbox360, standing or layed down?

Has anyone tried the product mentioned above?

I believe they are going to release a 360 with HDMI, IPTV, 120 GBHD and make it smaller and quieter for the price the premimum is at now. Id wait.

I have heard its being re-designed and then the price is going to drop. I have got my xbox about 8 months ago the first one was DOA and the second died after like 2.5 months because I think I left it on my rug to use the play N charge thing. The thrid one I got has been really good I have it laying down on my tv stand. I really like this system alot...I haven't used a video games system this much since I first got a N64 and goldeneye in college. I really like alot of the games that are out right now. While I was looking at ebgames comming soon section there are about 10 games I want to buy comming out in the next 4 months(thank god for used games). I hate to sound like MS Fan Boy but I really like this system and XBOX live is great so make sure you get that its 50 dollars for 13 months. I guess try to find MS targets date for the new system release add 1-2 months bc they never release anything on time and determine if its worth waiting though I hear they may drop the price 50-100 when the re-designed system comes out.

Later,
WGO

This true? Any-one else read this?

If so I may have to re-evaluate getting a 360 at the moment. I know you don't state it is the 360 youre referring to but im guessing theyre not gonna redesign dead technology.

Has anyone else heard this - also anyone know if this will make it over to the UK?

The keyboard/mouse adapter thing got pretty terrible reviews. Here's one example:

All rumors right now. I'm sure they will have an announcement at CES.

* HDMI is overrated. Very few people can see any difference at all between component and HDMI. It's real benefit (to the movie studios, that is) is its copyright controls.

* 120 GB hard drive is a big plus. But will probably be available as an add-on anyway.

* Standing up/laying down doesn't matter. It works well both ways.

So if I was planning on buying one soon, it won't make a huge difference or should I hold off?

Also, I've looked around with no luck. I currently have PS2, will games like March Madness 2007 and winning 11 soccer have all the same features or am I better off just buying the PS2 versions?

wait...the redesign rumors are likely true. even if not a price drop is likely soon.

the redesign will definitely be a big deal as it will fix the overheating problems.
