Pearl Harbor was a movie about orientals bombing Hawaii. [/ QUOTE ] o rly? not in the mood for your one-liners, you obviously know what I meant this is just like every OOT movie thread "list the best movie endings" uuuuh title title title title title wow if I wanted to read movie title after movie title I would have cracked open IMDB post a sentence or two to give the thread some substance. otherwise it's just titles and people arguing |

Goodfellas
The Departed Both of these movies are better if you simply chop off the last 30 minutes or so. |

The Game. [/ QUOTE ] Good call Also: The Departed There are plenty of movies that are good, but just go the extra 15 minutes. Inside Man comes to mind, they just draw out the ending forever |

Re: Very good movies with very bad endings
[ QUOTE ]
I thought AI was great, except the ending was the most retarded thing ever [/ QUOTE ] This or Return of the King win this category hands down. Both had three cinematic "endings". In AI the second one felt right, and the third was so bad, when I rewatched it, I turned it off after the second ending. (Where btw, I'm certain Kubrick ended it, died, and didn't think to consult Spielberg.) Spoiler in white, (but if you haven't seen will you really?) Second ending: Main character falls to bottom of ocean, where he sees the remnants of the Statue of Liberty and then "dies", or at least stays down there. Camera zooms out wide on ocean. THE END...Or [censored] not. Suddenly a thousand years later these futuristic robots come out and save him and Teddy and everything's different and pointless. Aaaargh! |
