see, i posted this hand because i screwed up. i was not so much afraid of him hitting his Q, i thought that i'd rather c/c than b/f in this spot because he is passive. i am guessing this is the reason my AF is pretty much always under 2.0.

The only person I'd ever consider not betting against here is a someone with a very high AF who will fold to most of your bets but will almost always take a shot at a checked river.
In this situation, not betting is criminal |

Correct consensus for betting the river, unless you have a strong specific read otherwise. In fact, you had the following: "...he can call down with anything. he also cannot let go of AK-AQ."
So, even if you get a bet from a bluff, it's not near the sure thing that betting is. Plus, with villain's AF, he seems more likely to check behind than bluff anyway. |
