ARI/SF Halftime
I do not have access to this game, but it seems very odd to me that SF should be a 3.5 pt favourite while down 20-6. ARI + the points seems like a gift, which means that SF is probably the right side bc I'm square as hell. I was wondering if anyone was watching the game and could explain this line to me.

Re: ARI/SF Halftime
Leinart went out in the first half, that is why SF is favored

Oh, I see. Thanks, that makes sense. Score 7-3 SF so far...

Re: ARI/SF Halftime
This happens quite a bit, even if a starting QB doesn't get hurt.
One reason for this is that the team that dominated the first half doesn't need to dominate, or even win, the second half to win the game. They can play to eat up the clock and, pull starters to rest for next week and avoid injury, etc. Plus, the team that is down at half time is going to have to be more agressive and gamble on some bigger plays. |
