So I order some pizza for delivery.
The total is like $15.26 The pizza delivery guy comes to the door, I give him a $20. Pizza Guy: "Do you want change?" Me (thinking): Yeah, I'm not going to tip you like $5 on a $15 order, dipwad" Me (speaking): Yes Pizza Guy: "How much change do you want?" Me (thinking): HOW MUCH CHANGE DO I WANT? WTF!!!! UHHH, HOW ABOUT THE CORRECT AMOUNT? OR MAYBE FORGET THE ODD CENTS AND GIVE ME $4, AND THEN I WILL DECIDE WHAT, IF ANY, TIP YOU GET. So what do you say to the how much change do you want question? |

you act like you got wronged by the pizza guy, but what he did was ridiculously standard. unless you prefer to exchange money with him one extra time.

I'd probably tell him to give me back 2 or 3 bucks.

So I was wrong in telling him to empty his pockets and give me all his money? I mean, he did ask how much change I wanted, right?

Give the guy the $20.It's Christmas.

The standard way to avoid this awkward situation is to state the amount of change you want back as you are handing him the money.

Solution - order a soda with your pizza and give the $20 to the guy, no change.
Asking for a buck or two back seems tedious and petty, even if it would result in the "correct" tip. |

$1 back if I haven't been waiting forever. $2 back if I can hear the stereo blasting Nickelback in his Yugo.
