I have no idea which is better out of 35% at Betsson or this "Never-Ending Bonus" at Hollywood that RTR are doing. Its pasted below.

I'd like to know what percentage it works out to. How much rake do you have to contribute to earn one or 1000 points? I can't seem to see anything about points on Hollywood's site at all.

There is no definitive answer to the question of exactly what the bonus equates to...
Arguments and calculations can show anything up to 70% depending on the type of player....
Below are just a couple of examples

A player plays ring games (10 seated) and earns 4000 points in a month to clear their $400 bonus.

In earning 4000 points, that player’s tables must have contributed 4000*0.1/.07 = $5714.28.

Assuming the ‘average’ player at that table is the player in question, then he or she contributed $571.43 to earn the $400 bonus.

This equates to a 70% rakeback.

Of course, this is the highest end model. Something toward the lower end would be the model for 6max.

In the case of a 6max table, the rake paid by the ‘average’ player in clearing the full bonus with the other members of the table would be $952.38. 400/952.38 = 42% rakeback.

In the overall figures for players, the average true ‘rakeback’ for players on the old 30% system was approximately 50% rakeback when the partial deduction of bonuses was included. The 10x bonus is the closest approximation on that figure (50% true rakeback), but of course, since this the new system is not a contributed rakeback system, it can vary substantially between players and tables.

Since points are not a stable measure of rake, there is NO perfect model or answer to the question.

I think I'm with you, but could you just explain what the 0.1/0.07 corresponds to in your first calulation?

Also, just to help me get it clearer in my mind, am I right in thinking that the tighter you play, the higher your percentage will go? I mean, in theory (assuming you didnt have to post blinds), you could fold every single hand preflop and never make an actual contribution to the rake, and so get an infinite percentage? Because its a "dealt" system is it not? So the total generated rake is considered to have come from everyone equally?

Or am I totally on the wrong train of thought?

How does one earn a point? It must be that the table has to generate $x rake and then everyone earns one point. Is that right? What is x?

every 10 cent in rake (you only need to be dealt in the hand) you get 0.07 points towards clearing the bonus.

i think ongame has contributed rakeback, so i would assume a sh limit 10/20 players would like to get rakeback and a tight player at FR limit 1/2 would like to get a bonus...

HWP stopped offering rakeback, apparently there new bonus structure is suppose to be like rakeback.

Where do you exchange 1000 points for $400? Are they no longer doing this deal?

I am at the Titanium level (the highest level) and here are my offers:

$10 after 70 Poker Points at 7x for
1,000 points exchanged

$25 after 225 Poker Points at 9x for
1,000 points exchanged

$50 after 450 Poker Points at 9x for
2,000 points exchanged

$75 after 675 Poker Points at 9x for
3,000 points exchanged

$125 after 1125 Poker Points at 9x for
4,000 points exchanged

$200 after 2400 Poker Points at 12x for
6,000 points exchanged

According to point 5 its 4000 points for $400 not 1000 points. Maybe they made a mistakein point 6.

Dunno why Hollywood have to make it so complicated. Just makes me suspicious that they dont want you to be able to easily compare it because this new method is a way to reduce rakeback. Ill probably end up getting deals at Hollywood and Betsson and just comparing the two with two blocks of 5k hands.
