[ QUOTE ]
I'm curious why no casino would take this bet, and further am interested if the fact it would be televised was the pivotal issue.

Such a thing as bad publicity?

[/ QUOTE ]

For the same reason the Hard Rock pulled out of the original bet the morning it was supposed to happen. They were being leaned on by the Nevada Gaming commission who were worried people would bet on the outcome, because it was supposed to be a live TV broadcast of the spin. In fact it seems it was a precursor to the new U.S online gaming ban.

[ QUOTE ]

Also, in the quoted post, who is "We" relating to the sale of the rights?

[/ QUOTE ]

I own the TV rights to 'Double or Nothing" along with SKY and a few other parties.

This is totally irresponsible to make this a public event. I am sure you are paid by the casino industry or something. People are stupid enough to try this sort of thing and they see you do it and win. This is just a horribly irresponsible promotion of irresponsible gambling. Someone was going to do it, why not you right? This is a despicable publicity stunt by both you and the casino.

I agree. It is pretty irresponsible to gamble everything. But people do it all the time and I know alot of them lose and that's a shame. It wasn't a publicity stunt though, but the end result of a life time of gambling and a craving to win the 'big one'
