Re: Car help, under $20k
90% of the people I know now drive luxury cars, but what you say does make sense since during high school when most of these accidents happened it was common for my friends to be driving a honda prelude or what not. Still I am very bias about hondas and should not be writing reviews about them.

Re: Car help, under $20k
I am a Toyota dealer and I can tell you that Honda is a very safe and reliable car......have you considered a 2007 Camry? Or Scion TC?

Re: Car help, under $20k
cabbage,
thanks for the help. i'm actually going out tomorrow and looking at more cars. i dont think i want a TC, but the camry is a possibility. if you were going to try to sell me a camry, what would you use as the reasons i should buy that instead of a civic? c |

Re: Car help, under $20k
Have you considered the Mazda 3? Actual cost of ownership is on par with the Civic... and I think they look a whole lot nicer. Plus not everyone and their mother drives them.

Re: Car help, under $20k
I have gone the better part of 4 years without a car and started looking last weekend (the GF's 3 series BMW has an attitude and im trying to have her unload before it totally goes). I test drove the 3 last weekend and im in love. Great little car, good get up and fuel economy. I also like the looks of it much more than the other cars in its class.
Must resist urge to buy.... |

Re: Car help, under $20k
If you like the size and looks of the Civic I would say that you are not making a mistake with the Honda. Some are not aware that the Camry is available in a manual tranny and there is also a Camry that is the base grade that is the same engine, 7 standard air bags, cd player etc. but just doesnt have the power seat and keyless entry that is in the 18k range for a larger car that gets over 30 MPG. I am biased but there is a reason why it has been the #1 selling car in the states for years and the Corolla is the #1 selling car in the world.
That said, there are a lot of good cars out there and I am confident you will find what suits your needs in your price line. I still find it hard to say but the Hyundai is getting better every year. You may want to look at that line as well. |

Re: Car help, under $20k
i think tomorrow i'll start by hitting the mazda dealership and checking out the mazda3, then after that head to the honda dealership, and if there's still time, toyota.
one thing i can't quite figure out about the mazda is if there's an option of AC without the pollen filter. c |
