When do you get up?
I 8 table 2-4 LHE on FT and always have concerns as to when to get up....for instance, last night I played about 100 hands and won 111 dollars. I stopped and took the rest of the night off.
And tonight I played 1.4K hands and after hovering about 16BB down I managed to crank it up and win about 7BB and stopped. When do you guys stop? |

Re: When do you get up?
1) When the games suck.
2) When I start to suck. 3) When I have something else to do. Notice none of these have anything to do with how much I'm winning/losing. |

Re: When do you get up?
When i make mistakes that i would not normally make.
If the game is good, i am losing, but playing my A game i don't care that i am losing. I can (after a long time of frustration) walk away a "loser " for the session and be happy with that session, as i know in "the long run" i have made money. This took a long time to get used to and i used to walk away even after ten minutees sometimes if i won a couple of monster pots for fear of losing for that session. This is ridiculous, as you are "even" at all times. Being tired, having stuff on your mind and making mistakes is when i end a session |

Usually when either the movie is starting, or I get a call that the wine is waiting.

Re: When do you get up?
Like you, If I get up alot early I will usually quit. Pad those stats. Or, if I get down early, I may quit after a small profit is made. I have a problem quiting stuck, though, I need to work on that. It also depends greatly on the game and my seat.

Re: When do you get up?
To think Money Management makes sense is most of the time subjective cognition.
Although it still effects your table image loosing a lot or winning a lot and of course it effects your own game. So when to stop or to go on is mainly a personal decision. In Mark Blades "Professional Poker" you can find a chapter about that issue. |
