Yes - he'd beat me heads up 100 times and I would win 0.

[censored] bum-bandit. How do you know hes 100 times better?

His post didn't sound like he was a pro the way he said "I would never consider going pro". If he is a pro then thats fair enough. My mistake.

But I dont see how you can twist what I said into a "whos better" argument.

So to Abnuld - in my position where you were consistantly making more money playing poker than your proper job you still wouldnt go pro and just keep going to work everyday knowing that you are wasting your time as you can make more on-line?

[/ QUOTE ]

knowing I can make more money is one thing. Knowing the odds of me going broke and finding myself in your position is another. If you had asked me before you quit your job what I thought then you wouldnt find yourself in this predicament now would you.

No, im not a pro but I make more money than alot of "pros" but I dont see how thats relevant. You got yourself into this mess because you took a chance and it didnt work out. Thats fine, its your prerogative, but I think its an incedibly selfish desicion when you have others who are dependant on you. Going "pro" on your roll was a risk, too bad it didnt work out, but from your posts and tone, im not surprised.

This is probably not what you want to hear, but I can give you my experience with playing LHE:

~250k hands at 2.5BB/100 of 10/20. (Not to mention a previous 75k hands at 3BB/100 of 5/10 and below.)

Followed by...

250k hands breakeven.

ENJOY!!!!

[/ QUOTE ]

stuff like this is why I quit limit as I suggest all part-time players should

Obviously people will post that you can't play, laugh and shrug it off.

Do I need a break from poker completely? This might make me worse as I have 3 kids to support and if I dont play and win we dont eat. Should I try a different room? I raked it in 95% of days on Party so this is a shock to my system on full-tilt.

OK - for a start Im not beat yet. My chance has not yet "not worked out". Im just back in the position I was in in at the start of the year. Unless you understand the benefits system in the UK then this might not make sense but by not working I can claim losts from the government - the UK does not class any gambling winnings as income so in fact I have no income and I can claim benefits which are large because I have 3 young kids.

Im in a better position now that I could ever have hoped to be in by staying in my proper job. I have had a losing streak which has hurt but Im going to deal with it by doing what I did at the start of the year. You dont need to be a millionaire or have a 50K bankroll to go pro.

Looking over your post history it doesn't seem that you contribute much to the strat forums. I would reevalute your game and look for leaks instead of continuing to run on ABC autopilot, calling sites rigged, challenging better players to HU matches for 10% of your roll.

Move down, relearn, good luck.

On a lighter note I took a break from online today and went instead to play in local pub tournament. Only 30 or so players. Understand that there are no casinos in N.ireland so this is the best it gets with regards to live play. Took it down big style but split the money heads-up at final table. £260. happy days (better than getting beat all week online).

I only posted here cos I never had a losing streak like last 2 weeks - but now I get retards who cant play saying that I cant play.

Heads up rundown u spastic. I cant wait.
