[ QUOTE ] 16 tables with ease but only plays 100 a week? 100 a day you mean? [/ QUOTE ] No... he's just really lazy. He prob ranges from 0 - 300 a week, but averages 100. This is rough estimate though. Anyways, to those mentioning it, explain how payback works? [/ QUOTE ] like if you ship him 3k, after he plays the set # of tourneys he ships you back 3k + X% of profits beyond that. you eat his losses if any. |

Re: Staking arrangements for STTs
Traditional staking agreement has the backer eating the losses.

Re: Staking arrangements for STTs
You ship him 3k to play the 60s. After he plays 500 in a month, he pays you back the 3k plus 25% of his profits. If he loses, you eat the loss.

Re: Staking arrangements for STTs
I'm currently staked, we split the profit 50/50 and he eats the loss.

Thanks for the replies. Maybe I'll update how it went when it's over.

Re: Staking arrangements for STTs
A fair way to do this would be to make him liable for say 25% of his losses, and 35% of his winnings (or another %). IE he makes 3k over 500 sngs, he keeps 1050, you get original stake +1950. He loses 3k, he owes you 750 and you eat the 2250.

Re: Staking arrangements for STTs
I used to have the 50/50 staking arrangement but it is unfair to the backer. We concluded upon winning off a 3k stake, the backer would get his original investment plus $1500. After that profit is split 50/50.
Or Backer gets his initial investment and profit is split 75/25 for the first $3k profit, and then moves to a 50/50 split. |
