Re: This hand has been bothering me for about a week
[ QUOTE ]
Repop to 7.5-8, decide whether to call the shove. This isn't always AA. He flatcalls, push non-A flops (~12k into a 16k pot, give or take quibbling hundreds.) [/ QUOTE ] If I reraise, I am always calling a push. You are pot committed, and this is the 2nd hour of the 3r. |

Re: This hand has been bothering me for about a week
The decision should be easy, see the second sentence.
OP, that line was tentative, far too tentative. It's generally incorrect to get overattached to premium pairs postflop with dangerous flops and heavy resistance. Preflop, nearly never is the case with KK unless you got a sick read. From your desc of Villain, this simply is not the case here. Especially not post-rebuy in a 3r. |

[/ QUOTE ] This is kind of what I was thinking. I repopped to 6.8K (is this too little compared to 7.5K?) and villain flatcalled. Flop is 789, two hearted. For some idiotic reason, instead of shoving my remaining stack in I lead for ~8K. Discuss any problems you see with my two moves here? I think I'm making the mistake of telling villain that I'm not folding, and by doing so, miss my option to either get him to bet at it by checking, or making my play standard with to not really define how strong my hand is. [/ QUOTE ] Pushing the flop would probably be a little better than your suckbet, but all you can do is push the turn and hope your hand is good. |
