NL HU tournament win rates/ROI?
Hey,
I was wondering if anyone could maybe share an average win rate/ROI for $50 hu nl sit and gos?. I've starting playing a bunch of them again with PT, and I'm at around 59%, and wondering what's a good, sustainable rate? thanks, jeff |

Re: NL HU tournament win rates/ROI?
I play a lot of Heads Up SNGs at the $50 level so I can give you a pretty good idea. 59% is definitely a good winrate.
In general, ROI = 2 * W% - 1.05, so your expected ROI for 59% is around 13%, or $6.50 per game. You can play around with some other winrates to see what you can expect to make with given winrates. This all assumes you stick to one buyin. In general, 58-62% is pretty good and profitable winrate. 63-68% is very good and anything above that is phenomenol, especially if you can keep it up over a few hundred games. The thing that gets most people is that witha 59% winrate, you will experience a lot of variance. You'll win about 3 out of every 5 in the long run, but in the short run you'll experience a lot of variation. Work on improving your winrate and you'll rid yourself of a lot of stress and you'll make a lot more money in the process. |

[/ QUOTE ] thanks, i used to play a ton of $50 hu sit and gos when I started online, and now I'm coming back to it. The one thing I've changed is that I now play 4 or 5 at a time. It probably hurts my winrate a little bit, but it's much better for $/hr. |

Re: NL HU tournament win rates/ROI?
You will need many games to determine your true ROI .
If you want to be within a one percent of your true ROI , you will need to play over a 1000 games . From my experience and with talking to many other heads up specialists , winning over 70 % of your games playing 50 + is simply not attainable . That is , if you play enough games to be within reason of your true ROI , then it's not attainable . Your goal is to win more than 60 % which in my opinion is pretty good . Surprisingly , my win rate playing limit hold em is better than nl , but I think this is because there are weaker limit hold em players than nl . |

Playing 5 at a time, I can get in around 20-25 games an hour. for those that play them often, do you often play a bunch at once, or try and concentrate on only 1 or 2 at a time? thanks jeff |

Re: NL HU tournament win rates/ROI?
I think its amazing if you can play 5 at a time. Dont you find it difficult to classify your opponents? So much of heads up is based on your opponent's tendencies, and if you're 5 tabling how can you do it?
I want to get there. Whats your PokerStars name? |

Re: NL HU tournament win rates/ROI?
I'm still a newb at HU SnG's, but I'm loving them. I don't see how you guys play 4 or 5 at once! Holy smokes! I can multitable cash games just fine, but there's just too much going on to follow more than one HU SnG at once! And with them being so read dependent...well, hat's off to you guys. And I thought I was an action junkie...
Thanks for the post above Nichomacheo. I've been trying to figure out how to measure success. Your posts in this forum are great and really helpful to guys like me who are just working into these. There isn't too much info out there, so please keep it up! |
