Re: Has separate Live and Online Forums been considered?
The is easily the best idea for a split forums since all the splits have started. The differences between online and live poker is HUGE. So many different strategies, and often the way one would play a hand online is significantly less +ev than live, and vice versa. I delineated one of these differences in my 2k strat post here. The two splits I support most after some thought are this, then the food/drink forum.

Glad to see that I wasn't alone in this suggestion.

Re: Has separate Live and Online Forums been considered?
I play both forms and although I appreciate the differences between live and online, I oppose the creation of new forums for live. This is because I feel that high stakes live play has a lot more in common with high stakes online play than small stakes live play. The only way to solve this problem is to have five or more new live forums (HSNL, SSNL, HSL, SSL, non-HE) to accommodate the differences in play. I am trying to provide a voice against too many new forums.

Re: Has separate Live and Online Forums been considered?
There should be nothing wrong with posting HSNL live hands in HSNL online forums. I think it's more valuable at SSNL and MSNL anyways.

Re: Has separate Live and Online Forums been considered?
Can we add a real forum that poker players will actually use instead of all this nonsense? Separate live vs online forums would much more benefit the users of this site than an automobile forum.

Re: Has separate Live and Online Forums been considered?
Shameless bump here.
No further consideration to this? I still scan the strat forums regularly and still need to weed through all the online play to find live play threads. Since it seems that splitting live and online is a no go, from the lack of mod/admin action, what about a sticky in the strat forums asking/requiring that "Live" or "Online" be put in the title of new threads to help differentiate. Anyone? |

Re: Has separate Live and Online Forums been considered?
Since the overwhelming majority of posts in the strat forums are online, constantly marking them all would be somewhat redundant. In what I've seen in my forums, it looks like for the most part, live hands are usually labeled as live in the title, or at least in the first line of the post. I could add something to the Micro sticky further requesting this, I suppose.
