Re: C++ do-while loop
[ QUOTE ]
This is one of those agree to disagree moments [/ QUOTE ] There are SOOOOO many of those when it comes to coding style. When it comes to coding results, your work has been very impressive. [ QUOTE ] BTW, the PA Hud code is generally clean and proper with a few shady spots. I take pride in my code. [/ QUOTE ] I wish I has the time to really go after Planner, both to make it bulletproof and to add enhancements. . . but it is rock solid on my machine, and I don't have much time or incentive to work on it. Re: C++ do-while loop
Agreed. There have been many martyrs in the holy wars of coding styles and preferences. I guess the important thing is that the finished product works well. As for results, you've not done too bad yourself.

Re: C++ do-while loop
Thanks, but the stability of your (published) code has to win out over mine. With Planner, there were lots of reports of people getting index range errors that really ought not to happen. . . I usually fix them by inserting "totally unnecessary" range checking. . . Or forcing iterations methods that shouldn't be necessary.
It annoys me that the clean logic I write can result in such unusual behavior on other people's machine. Of course, I know a lot of it comes from people having different versions of Windows, and sometimes timing cycles play into it (as with setting windows information and the delay before they are "applied" to the window). . . But some others really befuddle me. I mean, if I put objects into a collection, and do a "foreach" loop through them, how can I get an index out of range error? Yet some reports come in. . . Sorry, I'm just being whiny. |
