Default Response to massive scared card on the river

I dont have any stats sorry but I was playing quite loose but was also picking up cards so i was raising a lot of pots. This particular villain was playing back at me a lot and i was looking to trap him with a big hand like this. Do i just push, check/call or check/fold?

MP ($25)
Button ($94.09)

BB ($20.85)
UTG ($74.80)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. MP posts a blind of $0.50. Hero posts a blind of $0.25.
<font color="#CC3333">UTG raises to $1</font>, MP (poster) calls $0.50, Button calls $1, Hero (poster) calls $0.75, BB calls $0.50.

<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $2</font>, BB folds, <font color="#CC3333">UTG raises to $7</font>, MP folds, Button folds, Hero calls $5.

Turn: ($19) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">UTG bets $4</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $12</font>, UTG calls $8.

3-bet the flop, take it from there. This board is way too drawy to be calling.

Agreed definitley want to 3-bet the flop, and on the turn that re-raise should be about the size of the pot. As it is you are giving him proper odds to keep drawing to his straight/flush. No way he can fold his hand if he has either of those draws. River you are kinda screwed since it completes both the possible draws he may be on.

Your turn raise is laughable.

Am I the only one who checks and makes a decision as to call/fold?
