Villian was definitely on the loose-aggressive side to this point. Is there any point at which I should slow down? Given the board, I really didn't put him on anything higher than another overpair - two of which I beat, one I don't...

Too aggro, plus the action is inconsistent. What's the reason for slowing down on the turn and then going bonkers on the river? And why not bet the turn?

I would C/R this flop to get rid of MP, gain some info and get some money in the pot early. I would like the bet/3-bet line better if this were HU. I don't understand checking the turn after capping the flop. Bet it and call a raise. The river 3-bet was way overboard IMO. Big PP's are a strong hand but you should keep in mind that a big pair is just a pair. When someone 3-bets the river on you, you're probably making a crying call with one pair, even against a LAG.
edit: whoops, I thought opponent 3-bet. I'm still not sure I like 3-betting here given the previous action. |

To be honest, I'm not sure what I was thinking on the turn. The flop raise from MP kinda threw me off-guard, so I think I wanted to see what he would do if I checked.
