easy preflop
party 200NL
LP raises to 5, CO calls, button calls, i have A5o in BB i routinely make this call getting 6-1 and closing the action. i'm confident in my postflop play to get away from an ace, but was having second thoughts today for some reason. is there anything to discuss here? |

Re: easy preflop
Nothing wrong with a call here so long as you feel confident enough to play this hand post flop. I don't see much to discuss other than that. FWIW, folding isn't a bad play but might not be the best.

Re: easy preflop
I think it's horrible. I'd fold in a heartbeat. Are you playing it for straight value?

Re: easy preflop
Calling is awful IMO. Raise.

[/ QUOTE ] no, i agree it's a horrible hand, esp mulitway - reverse implied odds, etc. i'm playing it for hoping to stack AK when i hit 2 pair or stack an overpair if i hit trip 5's, etc. 6-1 seemed enough to me. very possible this is a leak in my game though |
