Against a min-raise from the BTN, I think a reraise is totally appropriate from SB. You need to bet that flop like you own it. [/ QUOTE ] how so this early. regardless of the size of the raise he is stil OOP and if he just calls he dont give away the strength of his hand since he is likely going to have to hit the flop to proceed any further anyways. re-raising pf puts hero in tough spot commiting too many chips OOP pf with a drawing hand. |

call isn't criminal for sure, personally i like a reraise. there's the issue of the BB getting now 5:1 on the call, which is one issue that reraising typically resolves. also, a steal-type hand that decides to call your reraise will almost certainly fold any whiffed flop to your cbet lead.

first off, normally I play decent, as NOT demonstrated in this hand.
Typically I like cold-calling these spots, but w/the donk-minraise and the deeeper stacks 'cuz its early still, I thought re-raising best I was fairly confident BB had a mid-pair, so checked to him w/the intention of calling. The turn kinda sucked, but I have to thnk I'm still best w/the villian drawing to 2-4 outs at most. Whatta river. I hate myself some times. |
