I don\'t know how to play NL, Teach ME!
I don't have any history on the villian, but he seems solid.
I've played very little NL, so I'm sure I played it awful I don't know if you auto bet this flop, but that doesn't seem great, but I'm not sure. I also think a defensive bet on the end may have worked. Reraise more preflop. Bet flop. Fold river as played.

Re: I don\'t know how to play NL, Teach ME!
Think of betting as building pressure on the other guy. Its a good idea to sustain that pressure.
Preflop, if you choose to raise, raise it a little harder, 20 sounds good. On the flop, you hit top pair, and we'd like to protect our hand, 2/3 of the pot sounds good. On the turn, you have to make a judgement call about the type of opponent, but if he likes calling down with Ax and Qx then its a fairly easy value bet. On the river, the third ace hit, he played this hand like a flush draw, and now he's overbet the pot, easy fold. If you had bet the whole way, I'd probably c/f or c/c depending on your opponent and the bet. |

Re: I don\'t know how to play NL, Teach ME!
cash games are different than MTTs. rr to 18-20 or so pf, bet pot, check behind on turn, call/bet river
